Audit and Flag Safety Inspections

Grain Cargo Loading Services

A vessel fixed for grain cargo needs to go through two very strict cargo hold and vessel inspections prior to an approval to load is issued to load grain cargo for export from Australia.

For internal shipment of grain within Australia, different rules apply. No matter whether it is export cargo or internal shipment of grain within Australia, all vessels need to comply with AMSA grain stability requirements. This needs to be submitted prior to the vessel berthing to load. There may be other compliance issues subject to the port she is nominated to load.

BULK CARGO LOADING SERVICES

Our experienced team of master mariners can perform correct draft surveys and maximise cargo lifting by optimisation of load factors. We can protect the owner’s interest against short loading and prepare dead-freight claims.

We can assist the master in his role in compliance issues to avoid vessel delays and perform pre-advisory hold inspections, owner’s protective cargo hold surveys, supervise the loading and deal with any issues with the loading terminal.

We can also monitor cargo moisture and IMSBC code compliance with particular cargoes, sampling for lab analysis. As well as performing cargo hold weather-tightness integrity testing, hatch sealing for cargo security and weather tightness.
